Danielle started her career in education as an English teacher for adults in Salamanca, Spain. Throughout her career she has taught ESL at the middle and high school levels in several states and countries. She has also served as an instructional coach and led several ESL departments. Her last position before moving to Alexandria, Virginia in July 2010 was as the head of middle school ELD (English Language Development) at the International School of Brussels. She is currently working for Alexandria City Public Schools as a Secondary ELL Instructional Specialist for the Office of English Language Learner Services. Next year she will lead the effort to bring the Internationals Network model and principles to the district as the TCW International Academy Leader for TC Williams High School in Alexandria. Danielle has a passion for education, cultural diversity, and travel and has lived, studied and worked in Spain, Costa Rica and Belgium.
Danielle has a BA in International Studies from West Virginia University, an MED with a major in linguistic approaches for English language learners from the College of New Jersey and holds a C.A.G.S. degree (Certificate of Advanced Graduate Studies) in Educational Leadership from Lesley University in Cambridge, Massachusetts.
